Exploring Energy Protection Meditation

Meditation, grounding and protection of energy is often on our minds, especially when we work with energy. The good news is that since energy cannot be created or destroyed, on a spiritual level there is nothing to fear. So where does this fear-based concept come from?

Some confuse the physical human exhaustion with the soul energy. Therefore, it’s not so much a question of why it is important to protect your energy, but rather why not to overdo things on a physical level. Energy work is tiring to the human body. It needs time to rest. Spiritual grounding meditation can help everyone. Let’s explore further at how we can set our minds at ease by focusing on the power of energy protection meditation, and understanding grounding meditation.

What is Grounding Meditation?

Meditation, Grounding and ProtectionIs meditation good for grounding? These days, our attention is spread thin amongst electronic screens, responsibilities, and mass information bombardment. Whether it’s a transcendental, mindfulness, or just a quick morning meditation, each fosters a centred state of mind.

Grounding meditation serves as a good habit to reconnect us to the present moment. It’s rooted in mindfulness. We are encouraged to centre our awareness on our physical body and the sensations we are experiencing. Grounding meditation helps let go of excess baggage, anxiety, and mental noise by redirecting focus to our true selves.

What Does Grounding Meditation Do?

Grounding meditation is much more than mere moments of tranquillity. It’s a corner stone of strength. It has a lasting and stabilising effect on our energy. Grounding meditation fortifies our emotional and spiritual resilience, and it helps in all aspects of our lives.

Just as the roots anchor the tree, when we direct a conscious connection to our body and surroundings, we ground ourselves in a profound manner. We travel to our core selves. The stronger our roots are, the more resilient we become. Similarly, the more we ground ourselves, the more effectively we weather our challenges.

What Are Some Grounding Techniques?

How do you ground yourself spiritually? Well, grounding techniques vary in practice, and each offers a unique pathway to inner balance. One of the most popular practices is to physically connect with nature. The most common methods are to walk barefoot on grass or soil, hug a tree, or even simply observing your environment. This communion with nature assists in expelling negative energies and replaces it with a sense of rootedness.

Exercising controlled breathing is another effective technique used in grounding. The focus on the act of steady breathing aligns you with the present moment. Find a quiet, comfortable spot, preferably with your naked feet touching the ground. Close your eyes and as you breathe, use your imagination. Each inhalation draws in revitalising energies, and each exhalation expels stress and negativity. Feel your body relax further with each breath.

Gently shift your focus to the sensations. How do your feet feel touching the ground? Feel the energy flow into your body from the core of the earth. Feel the breeze, or bask in the warmth of the sun. Continue your controlled breathing and simply experience the moment. As you continue, experience the sense of calm settling in.

What is Energy Meditation?

Exploring Energy Protection MeditationAn energy protection meditation focuses on our inner energy. It helps to keep us stable through balancing. The conscious channelling envelops us in an energetic shield leaving us less susceptible to external energies. It also assists us in differentiating between our own energy, and that of others.

The meditation involves visualizing an aura of white light or an egg-like cocoon of positive energy around your body. This deflects negativity and encourages a sense of well-being and personal security. It further pushes us to reinforce our emotional and energetic boundaries.

The principles of energy meditation are that our inner state influences our outer being. It is an intent on a soul energy level to repel what does not help us, and redirect our attention to what does. It creates the universe we wish to live in, and it’s a mirror of our internal equilibrium.

Infusing Mindfulness into Daily Life

A proper spiritual grounding meditation is invaluable, but don’t dismiss the value of short bursts of mindful grounding in our busy daily lives. Take a mindful minute to savour precious moments. Stop existing, and start living. Every moment hold the potential for grounding if we only stop to quieten our minds.

Consciously taste the food you eat, and the beverages you drink. We often just consume without a conscious thought. Relish in the taste of everything you eat. Take in your environment and look for nature even in the concrete jungle. Watch the birds, and ponder life. There is always time to stop for a moment. Take a deep breath before you continue on your busy path. Feel the stress leave your body as you breathe out.
